Who am I?
I’m Jason Romine. I write stories about messy people trying to hold it together—usually with more heart than they expect and more humor than they deserve. My current project, Exhausted, follows a newly sober dad, his eccentric family, and the scrappy car service that keeps them afloat.
Beyond that, I’ve done a little bit of everything: written sermons, led music, solved tech problems, pumped gas, refinanced mortgages, worked as an exterminator, and more. All of it sneaks its way into the work. Right now, I’m also developing a psychological thriller, a satire, and a historical comedy that’s way funnier than it has any right to be.
When I’m not writing, I’m probably playing drums, watching a documentary, or making a pop culture reference that lands about half the time. I’ve got a wife and two daughters and a small dog with a big personality.
